Edwards Diving Services (EDS) recently purchased a VideoRay Pro 4 Plus BASE ROV system from Atlantas Marine to add to their fleet of ROVs and enjoyed training delivered by Atlantas Marine Service Manager Mike Underwood at Vobster Quay Inland Dive Centre (www.vobster.co.uk)
EDS are a vastly experienced civil & marine engineering services contractor, capable of delivering tailor made solutions for complex engineering challenges. Utilising a diverse range of equipment and expertise, EDS provides its clients with a bespoke service to meet their specific needs.
The PRO 4 system delivered by Atlantas Marine was complete with the Teledyne BlueView V series 2D imaging sonar which has been developed exclusively for the VideoRay Pro 4. It is ideal for underwater detection and identification tasks in low or zero visibility conditions, providing both midrange detection and close-range identification capabilities from moving or stationary platforms.
Commenting on the ROV system, Paul Edwards (EDS managing director) said: “We are delighted with the latest addition to our specialist equipment fleet, a ROV complete with Sonar and manipulator arm. This innovative technology will greatly enhance our capability for subsurface inspection, surveys and even certain types of recovery, expanding our services and providing improved capability for our clients”
He was equally as impressed with the training that was delivered, saying “Our team enjoyed master class training from Atlantas Marine, who demonstrated the features and functions of this highly capable equipment and provided expert training for our team in the operation and maintenance of our ROVs, Pro 3 & Pro 4, including the additional features of our new addition”
